The Whiteridge is Amish made in Indiana and features adjustable shelves. The top is 1" thick and strong and you can pick from 6 different wood types to create the look you want for your new bookcase. Plywood is used in the back of this bookcase to accommodate the movement of the solid wood. High grade plywood is used in fine furniture that's authentic and built well to last. Without it, the solid wood runs the risk of cracking as it moves without the plywood to let it.
